November always brings me back to the same kind of light — the one that flickers softly, warm enough to awaken memory.

This altar wasn’t built only for tradition, but for love, for the souls that have shaped my story in quiet, gentle ways.
It’s dedicated to my mother, who left in 2015, and to my father, who followed a year before her.
To Casper, my loyal companion who chose the same day to cross the bridge beside her.
To Coco, my sweet soul who left in 2017.
To Pirata, the little wanderer who warmed my home until last year.
And to Noa and Byron, the beloved companions of my dear friend Shena — because love knows no species, only presence.

Each flower, each light, each offering carries a name and a heartbeat.
When I placed the pan de muerto, the marigolds, and the candles, I felt as if every one of them returned for a while, not as shadows, but as warmth.
Because remembering isn’t longing; it’s reliving the joy of what once was, and letting it breathe again.

This altar is a way of saying thank you,for the laughter, the lessons, the stillness, and the moments that never fade.
It’s how I keep them close, even when the world feels quiet.

For those who return, and for those who never truly left.
